This lecture offers a brief synopsis of Shakespeare's history and his impact on the English language, but concerns itself primarily with the art and craft of acting as it relates to getting the bard off the page and up on a stage in performance. The lecture will include those in attendance being guided through some fundamental exercises in performing monologues from some of Shakespeare's plays.
