The Merchant of Venice [Weinisi shangren] FILES Introduction; production background (1); program (1); photo (1); news (3); essay (1); review (1) This is a junior production by the fourth graduating class, and a rare example of comedy among Chinese Culture College's early Shakespearean productions. It is supposed to be comic, but the sympathy Shylock invokes makes the play tragic as well.
